Cruise light comes on but goes off and will not engage control system and therefore does not work.

Mine does the same thing! I have replaced the servo, brake switch, both steering wheel switches, main relay, clockspring and flashed the body controller. Still does it! It will work the first time in the morning but shortly after using the brakes the light goes out and won't come back on until the van sits for a few hours with the key off. If someone here can help you, they will be helping me also.

This isn't the full procedure, but if it only happens after applying the brakes (second post), it might be the brake switch. These supply power to the actuator, and the switches can go bad. I've read that they are a one time install, so if you remove it, it has to be replaced.
