So I'm very close to selling my Roadrunner as I am WAY over my head in trying to restore it. However if its cost effective (vs buying a completed car) I may consider bringing it to a shop.

Are there any recommended shops in the Long Island, NY area that i can use? Any good experiences?

The car doesn't need a frame off, but needs the engine to be completed, new trunk and floor pans, disc brake conversion, interior, bodywork and paint (body isnt bad only a little rot patches on doors). Just trying to figure what it may cost.

Thanks!

It will be cheaper to buy a finished one.

Out of curiosity any idea what something like that could cost?

To have it restored ? It depends on the shop.

My shop charges $65 an hour, some shops are twice as high. The Cuda were doing now received two quarter panels, A trunk floor, 2 floor pans were patched as were a bunch of smaller spots and will be over 10K by the time its in paint and I think my boss was to cheap on this car.

I would say expect to pay around 10 to 15K for paint and body work alone.

depends on your standards really, but adams right on a nice paint job with little sheet metal work will be in the 10-15k range...my 71 cuda cost 12500 6 yrs ago...no steel work required, my 68 sport sat, 11500 no steel work and the cars were in bare steel when they arrived, no dissassembly, no welding or fab work! if its a specail car to you have it done, if not sell it and buy one thats already done for half of what youll spend to get your done!

i'd consider taking it off the island. most of what you will find is vinny bag o donuts in his matching sweatsuit who expects you to pay his mortgage off on this one job...

LOL!

I found 2 places here both are asking around 20-25k for everything (bodywork/paint, finishing the resto, interior, suspension, brakes).

I would learn to do it your self, like I do, or buy a done car. It will be cheaper in the long run. I wouldn't use a Long Island shop if they were willing to do it for free By the way, I see you have a 2010 SS Camaro- nice car. Mines a 6cyl but lots of fun. Rob

Doing it myself hasn't flowin in 4 years... I have no garage, I tried, I just don't have the time or commitment.
