Removed the windshield from my 1970 Satellite and did some minor body work on the cowling/lip where the windshield seats. There were three trapaziodal (is that a word?) holes in the lip where the windshield seats where the metal was bent up to hold in the windshield seal. My question is this...should there have been more? Some of these may have rusted away to nothing. How many of these are there on a B-body? This is on the lower side of the windshield (cowling side). I think there may have been one in between each trim clip, but don't know. Help! Thanks. Chris.

I'm sure there is just 3 of them. I just bent mine down flat and I know a lot of other people do that and seal them up too. Good Luck! Ronnie in Okla.

Just three, terrific. The guy who put is putting in my windshield thought there were more and thought it might leak, ugh. I have a car show Saturday I wanted to go to and had everything done, but the windshield install and thought maybe I missed something. That makes me feel better. I asked him if he could seal it with something that will help the seal stay in place and he said he could and it should be fine...he just didn't want to guarantee it...I think he is covering his rear...this isn't the space shuttle You made me feel a lot better. Thanks! Any other comments are appreciated! (I did get all 10 lower trim clips and installed them, but the windshield seal "holder inners" is what I was questioning...:)) Thanks!

Those holes are water drain holes so water runs down the inside of the cowl area and out the bottom of the frt. fenders. The tabs are to keep the windshield w/strip in place.
