marinatedcar.com, I'm sad the car is done, but I'm glad I didn't make seeing it the focal point of my trip through Tulsa. I really think the comparison to the Titanic was pretty close. I think our grave digger in Nebraska(corncopia?) had it right on the money as well as the local guy who said the water would be in it. The hoopla factor will be worth a few bucks. At least the next one will be buried properly.

The battery was removed and placed in the trunk, according to eyewitness accounts in 1957.

Maybe that TV 'star' guy tried to start it and put that battery there.

I heard lots of rumors of a brand new car being substitutable (is that a word?) for the Belvedere, I wonder if any of the rumors are true?

I would be crazy to say it, but I would rather have the 57.

Just another fallacy of eyewitnesses...the pics are the perfect illustration.

Well new it was a good looking car. Since I was brought home from the hospital in a 58 Savoy and it was the only car we had until 1970 I kind of have a soft spot for them.

Here is my prediction..someone will take it and restore it totally. It will end up on B J one day and the moron in the red cap and Ferrari jacket will bid it up to 1.5 million...at least

Almost joking but as much exposure and history as this car has it would have to be worth a mint restored

A mint restored...a place in history lost forever.

hmmmm, why did the back sag like that? The front end seems mostly intact, they just uncovered some chrome on the front bumper and they said it was amazing.

I think this might have something to do with that sag. It appears to be a piece of the leafsprings.
