I'm not sure I'd want the turd. Maybe they should have parked in in New Orleans in a swamp with the gators. Might'a stood a better chance

Turd....That thing looks better than half of the so-called restos up here in the N.E

Dang, I've never seen a bigger bunch of know it alls than what I'm seeing on this thread right now.
What you are looking at is Americana at its finest. Yet, you complain about the mannerisms of the people doing the show.
Thankfully, Oklahomans aren't anything like you sophisticated types in the north.

If that's two typical "Oklahomans", you can KEEP Oklahoma.

Somebody needs to get that lady off the stage! Where is Elvis when you need him?

Don't get me wrong, it's neat to see their take on it. However it's also a REALLY BIG deal so you would have thought that it would have been planned out just a little bit better. It seems like mass chaos on stage with little control over who is doing what.

You are mistaking funny loose comments as sarcasm. I think the unearthing a Plymouth is awesome! The contents are equally awesome, and the fact they actually figured out how to preserve something is worth noting. But some of us are taking a light hearted approach to all of this... not meant to offend anyone.

I STILL wish that show the car. Not a single engine shot yet and only a glimpse of the interior.

The car was protected as well as it could be in 1957.
I didn't want the unveiling to be a scripted event.
What we saw was spontaneous reaction. That's the best.
As far as the Canuck who said we can keep Oklahoma, thank you, we will.

Not really, see the pics of the car before it went in the hole.

I wouldn't take a wire brush to it, but it definitely needs a cleaning.

It looks like the thing is coated in red clay. Or is that rust? If it is red clay it might as well have been ziebarted...anyone that ever tried to get that mess off an under carriage after being there for 30 years knows what I mean!

That car's related to Christine, so I'm sure it will be perfect by morning, then she might plow right over Boyd & the crew on its way to E-bay.

Ooooo yeah the back end not so much, leaf spring mounts rust through the mount points and spill into the trunk maybe?
