I have a stinkin feeling that the car is gonna get switched and a nice restored/original will be in it's place.

They won't show the car off this weekend, as the keep the tourist money in for the weekend.

unless that thing is sitting on some sort of jack stands it appears the tires still have the air in them ... imagine how much those tires would bring on ebarf if they were of 71 vintage ...

I don't think we can make guesses about the cars condition based off of how we see the usual car age. This is really going to be something else entirely as the car would have been exposed to different circumstances, like full immersion, no UV's, and many other items that do not typically come together to age a car.

Well written Hans. If I had the time, I'd be out there. I'm glad however, that through modern technology, I can enjoy the event too.

Enjoy!

Jim

Thank you for the kind words guys! I've met so many nice MoPar folks that it is amazing! If any of you fine moparts members see a guy walking with a silly smile on his face and wearing a black 440 Source t-shirt (Thanks Brandon!) and a black Dodge Sweptline cap that's me. It would be cool to meet some of you that made it here!

Gotta grab a bite to eat now before going to the convention center! Sure wish the car will be as good as possible. And Boyd, keep your hands off of it!

Hans

I really didnt think some small news stations had the bandwidth to handle this, I'm surprised their websites still load.

73Cudaproject, looks like you were walking on the other side of the parade. I was walking in the front on the right all the way to the last turn. Unfortunately I can't upload any pics right now, wasn't planning on buying a computer on the trip, LOL!

They should have gotten Geraldo to do the unveiling. Like that safe from the Titanic thing. "And as we open the safe we find - MUD!"

Well, at least it was safe from tornadoes buried down there.

Hans I jointed the crowd and walked in the front part way on left side and then crossed to the right side and was in the front. I am from Tulsa. Did you see our local silly bicycle Santa Claus? I am leaving work and headed back to the show. I hope to meet you! I have a white t-shirt with In-N-Out Burgers on the front and a hemi orange '69 GTX on the back.

Yeah pretty close! Like a New Orleans funeral march but without the band. It was the most fun I have ever had at a parade.
