It makes sense to me why they hired Boyd to be there (yes I figure they've paid him), this whole thing is a tourist atraction for Tulsa, not a car guy's popularity contest.

Hopefully, no further action will be allowed of him than to mess with the engine. Knowing Coddington, he'll look at it and throw his hands up.

I'm sure he brought a small black Chevy crate motor and turbo 400 trans to install should the old Mopar fail to fire up with a fresh squirt of gas

Boy'd is gonna have Duhwayne push it on stage while he makes engine sounds into the microphone...as banjo music softly plays in the background

Yes Joe, I agree why he was brought in....I'm sure the car would be in much better hands with some of the adoring fans in the crowd who have lovingly restored countless late 50's Mopars as opposed to "Hack Saw" Boyd.

There were several organizers who had never seen or heard of Coddington. My guess is he was "brought in" b/c of $$$.

Right, politics at thier best. It was funny watching the one girl interviewing Boyd, she didn't know his name (looked down and read it off the cue card she had).

This thing is on tv/web site someplace?

Are there any pictures around of the crypt after she was removed?

Poor thing, I had high hopes it'd be OK, but the way the top of that vault looks, it probably started leaking right away. Even if they dug it up in '67 it probably wouldn't look much better. At least it still looks the right shape under the tarp. I'm hoping it can be saved and that Boyd doesn't butcher it too bad.

THE JUST SHOWED A TAILLIGHT HANGING OUTT THE BAG. ugh!!! It's gonna be bad!!!

The guy that worked at the bag factory is there. I would leave if I were him (with my tail between my legs).

I wonder if a link to a cartoon of my opinion [of Coddington] would get me banned? How about it, mods?

That's where my opinion differs. That is just silt on the car. You can still see chrome through the silt and the lenses are unbroken.

Wile1Coyote...you have a PM.

Just watched the video and the 'dance' on the crane. The exposed left rear corner looked pretty bad, I cant even imagine what the interior and engine myst be like. I saw in the film Boyd looking underneath the car briefly, he just shook his head, but he is always extremely cynical,

one of the close i saw on video showed what appeared to be rusty flaking chrome on the LR corner. Also showed a tear /exposed fin tip on the RR as well but much smaller. Doesn't look good

that picture and the way the car is sitting up gives me false hope too

The whole bottom is probably gonna be rotted out of it though, anywhere that mud and water could settle and dry when the water level would recede.

Any new pics?

Can't get any of the videos to work. Heard that somebody got a peek at the front of the car too???

I still don't think Boyd and his goons will have it running, but I'm holding out hope that the car is pretty solid.

Them jabronis can't even get the stuff they build to run.

I swore that Herb McCandless announced at MATS that he was going to get the car running. Did he get outbid?
