I have a 67 Belvedere that didn't come with sway bars. I also have a 95 Grand Cherokee Orvis that needs a tranny and I'm not bothering with fixing it. Since no ones biting on my CL mech special ad, I'll probably end up stripping it for parts. other than the trans its a great Jeep that is young for its age.

Anyway, I got to thinking. Why not see if the jeep swaybars will fit on the Belvedere. I took some measurements and it looks like I really could make it work. The bar is 1 1/4" thick, so it would perform. The only problem is the width. It sits pretty far to the inside of the LCA. I should be able to have them bent out a little. Of course I'll have th fab up some mounting brackets. I was thinking rectangular tubing cut at a 45 degree angle. Does this seem like a bad idea and a waste of time to anyone?
