You would think they would open up a spot on that bag to see whats inside... sure its not gonna fire up and drive out of there, but it might not be too bad... Plus I would really like to know what it looks like , I say screw Friday, everybody already knows the vault is full of water, check out the car today!

First I've heard of the car swap offer. Guess the marketing guy doesn't understand that it would be for PUBLICITY!!! Saw mention of roof damage. I can't see that for sure in those pics, but if the vault WAS full of water at some point, and the bag held, it would float to the top.... Excitement builds...

I was really hoping it'd be OK, but I'm not the least bit surprised. Oh well. Dave

It all depends on the 3 layers of plastic and the rust inhibitors they used. I imagine the paint has been worn down to the sheetmetal in places from the plastic moving around.

My thoughts exactly!

Yeah, but what fun would that be? They actually should have done it both ways and compared the two in 50 years.

Workers lifted the vault's lid Wednesday
What the heck?? I thought the unburial was Friday.. not Wednesday..

Rain at mid-morning brought work at the site to a halt. The vault was covered with a canopy and opaque plastic attached to the chain link fence surrounding to keep spectators from looking in
Why the heck do they always do that? just to keep the public from seeing it.. If someone in the croud attempted to throw rock and such at it, I could understand.. but to prevent people from seeing it just plain STUPID..
