I remember a really nice Camaro race car in Prince George a few years ago. Car had a Dana in it already and they had trouble making the car fast, so in went a 426 and 727. Only cool Camaro I ever seen at the track. I wouldn't soil a Mopar with a Government Motors engine either.

There's a mid-low 8 sec firebird around here running a 440-1 motor on the hose. They let him run most of the mopar meets.. I would never even consider a GM drivetrain for any Mopar.

It is astounding how fast guys are going with turbo equipped stock-ish 6.0 LS motors. Absolutely wicked fast. Could make for a very fast car for very little investment. However heretical is seems...It's your car...go for it. Moparts really isn't the proper venue for your questions though. Go over to: www.ls1tech.com or www.theturboforums.com for tech advice. This heap of a ford fairmont... runs 9.50"s in the 1/4 with a stock junkyard $250.00 5.3 longblock and a small-cheap single mp70 turbo. 15psi

Do it!!! Those LS motors are flying with little done to them other then a hair dryer I don't care what it is powered by as long as it's FAST if I did it all over again I would be doing the same thing

Thought that Firebird had a B1 motor in it. Or at least it used to.
