Has anybody running W5's had trouble with valve seals before? We've went from teflon to vitons and still have issues. Has anyone tried to plumb drain lines from the back of the heads to the pan? The seals are submerged in oil all the time. I've not restricted the oil to the rockers either and i'm wondering if that would help matters any, thanks, jesse

If you haven't cut drain slots in the spring pockets you will need them to help drain the oil. cut a notch about .125 on the push rod side of the spring pocket. Sorry I dont have any pictures.Try doing a W-5 search.
Yeah you have to cut drains in the spring pockets, thats the bad thing on W-5s

You can't blame the guy doing the casting,it's not his design.
OH sure, blame it on the engineer. It was probably the supplier not following the drawing...

Does anyone have pictures of theses modifications, i'm not for certain where to put the drains. Also how big does the fittings need to be? I was thinking a 1/8 pipe and a 4an line should work. Thanks for the help, jesse
