hhmmmm, I must have the cheap leveler,,,Harbor Freight i think,,, It just has a hand "crank",,,,no provisions to attach a impact....but that sounds trick to me,,,sounds like it would make things much better...
I was really wrestling with mine,,,what a pain,,,with the motor way in the air,,,hanging over the car...
I should probably find a better one........

I've pulled several 440/trans out of cars with those cheaper cherry pickers, never had a problem, i even pulled one out of a 69 NYer with a come-along , thats all i had & it held , its those 2 little bolts that make me nervous that take all that weight, but yet, they still don't break, i'll never forget the time we were pulling a 440 with the trans & i let my step son crank on the hoist, well he's cranking away & i turned my back to do something, next thing you know the f&ckin cars coming off the ground , i'm like wooooo, the trans tail shaft got hooked up on the lip of the firewall (allways does), so those hoist are pretty strong, & yes, the boom was all the way out @ its weakest setting, plus i was useing grade "5" bolts, i don't use those anymore.
