I am looking at an original 67 white Coronet RT and when you lift the trunk mat the floor is painted white but there are gobs of nasty seam sealer spread all over. Is this the way it came from the factory? I just sold a 68 Roadrunner and everything was painted over with the body color.

Is it a white car? If so, probably yes, that's how they looked, however a pic would be helpful to confirm.

I bought a few new 60s/70s eras cars but I guess back then I didn't pay attention to what was under the trunk mat. I guess I just cared what was under the hood. So you think this is the way it was sold back then? Thanks Scott.

That's how they looked when new most of the time, remember, these are "Dodges" not Rolls Royces

That is standard factory seams, with sealer.

That's how mine looks. My trunk floor has never been painted.

Jim

PS - I saw that same car (I think) either on eBay or for sale with a Youtube video. Either way, it was sweeeet!

Nice cars guys! My Uncle bought a brand new 67 Coronet R/T in white with a 4 speed. He blew the engine around 1968, he went to Nam, and the car sat in his back yard until 1982 when a body man bought it. Before I could turn within driving age!

The car had very little rust, was all original except baby moon chrome hubcaps. It had the red pinstripe too.

Thanks for your inputs on this guys; I went ahead and bought the car. It needs a little TLC underneath but everything is rock solid. I wasn't a real fan of white vehicles but this one has changed my mind. I will post some pix when it arrives.
