moparborn OP super stock Joined: Jul 2007 Posts: 735 Pa. U.S.A.	I want to get my compression up,what is the thinnest head gasket available that will do the job in a 318,about 9.5 comp.street driven. What are the best parts for doing a set of 318 302 casting swirl port heads on a budget?

Which compressed thickness would this gasket actually be since it states two different thicknesses? Check the bore diameter of the Mr. Gasket. The bigger the whole in the gasket, the less compression you will have. 1967 Dart 270 360/727

Leadfoot master Joined: Oct 2003 Posts: 7,863 Colorado	I don't think I would go through the trouble of changing a head gasket for a compression increase unless there was another reason to change the gasket anyways. The result will be so insignificant it won't even be noticeable. It may raise your compression from 9.5 to 9.6 if you're lucky.
