Hello,

I am working on the bench seat on my '69 RR and need advice on finishing the bench seat backs. I am not clear as to how the bottom of the seat back should be fastened to the frame. If anyone has done one of these can you please advise? I am using the original burlap and batting to keep it looking close to original, but I can't see any logical places to fasten the hog rings to the front cover. Also, does the front of the seat cover and the back fasten together or does the front fasten separately from the back? See photo.

I'm a first timer at covering seats, mine came out good. I believe I pulled both ends together and hogged both sides of the vinyl together under the bottom of the seat back. I tried to up load picks but they were to big. I'll see if I can resize them.

i just did mine a few months ago. i will double check it but as i remember the front and back are ringed together on the rail at the back of the seat. that way the bottom is covered. you need lots of finger strength to pull the cover that far but it works. after a day or two the wrinkles will come out. i couldn't tell if you used new buns but i chose not to use them. i didn't like the fit.
