Would these springs be enough with a 1.6 rocker? 6500 RPM would be the most this engine would see. Around .565 lift after lash, so 150#/340#. These are a bit stouter than the Source springs that are rated for .600. Are there better options?

Looks to me like they would work fine. Installed height is 1.88 so should work out pretty close. watch the vlave guide to retainer & seal clearance. You may have to trim the guide some for clearance.

Clean it, if it's Dirty. Oil it, if it Squeaks. But: Don't fix it, if it Works!

Clearance issues should not come into play with a single spring like that. definately heavy enough to do the job.

Oh but it would. You need as much clearance between the guide/seal to the retainer as you do free spring to coil bind. You don't want the retainer to collide with the guide and seal at full valve lift any more than you want coil bind.

How much clearence? Would .060 to seal be enough? I was thinking a piloted counterbore for socket head cap screws would work to trim down the guides.

.060 is a minimum IMO. It isn't a critical cut to trim them if you are using umbrella seals.

Cou do free spring to coil bind. You don't want the retainer to collide with the guide and seal at full valve lift any more than you want coil bind.

Was think like you cut them for dual springs inside clearance

with the single spring and dapmper that will not be a problem, The top of the guide and seal needs clearnce from the bottom of the retainer at full valve lift.
