Is it ok to have leaf springs on a 24 ft.enclosed car trailer?
I finally found a trailer I like but wanted to know about the spring setup. Thanks

Its fine if the springs are rated for the capacity
of the rest of the trailer.... BUT usually it will set
higher than a torsional axle

That was the standard equiptment for many years, not a problem other than the increased hieght as already said, make sure the gross vehicle rating is adquate for your load and check the tires out very carefully (load rating and condition) before towing with a load

Can the springs be removed to lower the trailer?

No, that would change the load rating of the springs. You might be able to find drop axles to lower the trailer, or lowering blocks.
