I just put a pair of 275/60/15 MT ET drag radials on my Charger. The side wall has a max air pressure of 44 psi. What should I defalte them to at the track? I was told 22 psi. Does this sound right?

And 2nd, what's the general rule with the psi on the street? Should I inflate them to 4-6 psi under the max?

Those tires seem to work the best anywhere from 15- 22 or so. all a matter of what your car likes

I run the hoosiers now and run them at about 20 street or track

what's the max on the hoosiers? Half the max seems extreme deflation for street use for a regular radial tire. How can you get away with this when running drag radials?

I run the 295-65 radials at 19-20 psi for best traction. I've run the 275-60s and had good luck with them at around 18 psi, but never tried them any higher...didn't use them but a couple times at the track. I normally street drive with around 25 psi in them. CHIP

Not all tire gauges read the same on the same set of tires The message there is to get a good tire gauge and use it ONLY on your car(don't loan it out either )and find which pressure works best on your car. I have ran several sets of M/T 315x60x15 on my car on the street and strip, 17 to 22 lbs on both uses. I try to remember to pump them up for crusing on the street to maybe 25 lbs, if I remember Don't expext those tires to last like a regular street tire If you can get 10,000 miles out of them on the street you will be doing great
