S been a long long time since I've been under a 69 with the pan off, but I don't remember having to jack up the engine off the mounts or anything special. Might have to argue with the tie rod

The trick is to loosen the bolts in the front sides of the pan by jacking it up a little before doing the rest. The you have to jack on the new pan to get back at them for the reinstall. Or use a cherry picker up top.
Center link has to come out.
I don't think you will have any trouble. I took out my pa and installed a Milodon circle track pan and pickup w/o much problem this summer. I have a 3/8 pickup though, might be worse with the half inch pickup.
I want my fair share

Just did this on a 383 for the rear main seal, I don't think a 440 would be much different. Remove the centerlink, remove the inspection cover, then the oil pan bolts. You can get at the front ones by accessing them through the front of the car under the grill. I had to remove the inspection cover because I had to move the pan back against the flex plate so it would drop down clearing the oil pickup. After that if the front of the pan is still hung up, turn the engine by hand so the crankshaft finds a high point. Of course oil drained and neg. batt. cable disconnected first. Not fun but, that's how I did it........Jim
