Had a blast but didnt get picked
Arrived there thursday after lunch, and got unloaded.
The camera crew drove by and decided to do a quickie little camera interview with me. I told them that i was here on my honeymoon and that got them all excited
. they asked when my wife was going to be there, and i told them Friday after lunch. They showed back up after lunch on Friday, decided to make the Duster one of 12 feature cars(we ran first in the Saturday sessions)and had her and i jump in the car and drive to a quiet spot. At this point the two of us were adorned in our matching" we are on our honeymoon at Pinks" shirts that member scottb's wife got us for our wedding the week before
They sat us down in front of the car and interviewed both of us one at a time, went under the hood, around the car, and inside the car with a camera, and about 30 minutes later it was all done.
had a blast, car was a dog all weekend, but i think i have figured out why. Used the t brake and got it up pretty good 3 of the 4 passes(first car on the track Saturday morning and it spun real bad)..anyhow, a 10.08, 10.13 ,10.16, and 10.27 spinning real badly.
Was pitted next to scottb and his bad [Edited by Moparts - Family Friendly Site - Keep it clean] 68P7 dart, he went 9.72 and 9.78 after working out a few bugs.
the place was packed out and fun was had by all, cant wait to see our interview on the show when it airs in Sept. Talked to Pat Norton and Ricky Ross a good bit, didnt see too many other members, as the place was a zoo.
Got new tires on the way today, and look forward to the upcoming classic this weekend.
