Hey all, im having trouble closing my door without slamming it really hard on my 65 valiant
I installed some new windlace and now it it even harder to close
I adjusted the latch out farther, in closer, at angles, etc and cannot get it to work correctly,

Any help would be great...thanks!

Check the pins in the hinge.My Bs were worn and had to be slammed.Mine adjust up down and in and out for the striker.Its pretty much eyeing it and adjusting a bit at a time.Rocky

If you have some of the first reproduction windlace,don't hold your breath about it working.It won't.First run run rubber is about 1/3 bigger than necessay.Put it on my wagon three years ago,kept the doors shut during the rest of the restoration thinking it would conform.Never changed.Replaced it three weeks ago with new,everything works fine.
My original came from below.They replaced it no charge with the new.Be careful where you buy it.Price is all over the place.

The passenger door closes fine btw!

I checked the hinges and they are in super nice shape...no lift of the door at all

I guess it must be the weatherstripping
