Can anyone tell me what emblem went on this hood (see arrow)? i'm putting this on my 1974 Sat with a 360 4-barell. need item and a part number if possible. Ineed this info befrore painting as I would fill the holes if not using the emblem.
Thanks

A "GTX" or "440 GTX" emblem goes there, I believe.

That's a '74 hood, BTW. The '73 hood was different.

Yep I agree,440 GTX or GTX emblems. The 73 hood has two types of "grills" at the rear of the hood. The 74 does not.

Originally these cars had the roadrunner stripe decal on the hood as I'm sure you know. IIRC, if engine size was greater than a 318 they also got an engine callout decal on the stripe near where those holes are. Ie, '440', '400', etc, but that was a decal, not an emblem. The only time these hoods got an emblem as far as I know was if it was a 440 car it got the 'GTX' emblem right below the '440' decal.
