I verified my oil leak is coming from the front passenger corner of the oil pan (not the fuel pump or crank). Am preparing to replace it. Any suggestions on type or brand of gasket to purchase? How about the adhesive?
I want to do it right and do it once.

Dont use silicone on cork period.Ive seen too many back yarders screw up stuff because of it.Silicone and cork dont mix.I use 3M weather adhisive if its in the car.Glue the gasket to the pan use just enought to hold it.Then make sure the rails are straight.I even sometimes cut the timing cover part off and just use silicone on it if its in place.Mine has 2 gaskets and windage tray.Never leaks and it has the Mopar black gaskets.Dont overtighten the bolts.I use a 1/4 inch set and just get them nice and snug.Rocky

All you silicone guys must wear suspenders with a belt. Its not needed and silicone turns cork into mush.My pan has been on 8 years no leaks and carries 80 PSI allmost all the time.I only use silicone when I have to like under the intake frt and rear hold downs.Been doing it for 40 years and have had very very few leaks.Rocky

A guy here in town mentioned that I might need two gaskets if I have a baffle too. It's a numbers-matching block rebuilt to stock. Can anyone confirm what/how many gaskets I will need? Any other parts/pieces?
