Thinking about trying to rebuild the gear box in my Duster. Anyone ever try it before? Anything special needed? Rock Auto has "rebuild kits", is there anything else to it? Thanks in advance...

I haven't(yet) but I wouldn't be afraid to get the kit & dig in. Like anything new go slow take notes(& pics)stop dead in your tracks if you hit a snag(get on the phone(or here)& work thru it and check everything for wear as you might need a bit more than just the basic "kit". Any idea how comprehensive the instructions are.

Manual boxes are a breeze. I've never opened a power box.
