I am going to order some tires and I wanted to make sure a BF Goodrich P235/70/15 on a 15x7 steelie will fit. Its a 28" diameter tire. Keep in mind its a 70 series. Going on my 70 Satellite.

My other option is the P245, 60 series which is 26.6" diameter but may be too wide for turning? Using the same wheel, 15x7 steelie.

Can anyone help with this?

I am going to be ordering the P275/60/15 for the rear. Also a 28" tire if you have any suggestions for my fronts above??....Thanks!!

A 235/60 might be the better way to go...those and the 275/60 seem to be a nice combo.

245/60R15 should work but I have not tried it. I have a 245/50R15 not it it is not too wide, just a bit on the short side.

Allen Here's a novel idea, let's not throw a bunch of parts at the car hoping it will fix the problem and instead spend a little time diagnosing it first. Life was a little easier when I was just a wrench.

I have a 68 b-body, just put new tires on. 225/60/15s on the front and 275/60/15s on rear. Iam very happy with the looks and the performance.

I run 255/60/15 on front. No rubbing on 7 inch rally wheels. 275/60 on rear. Looks great, and handles as well as one would expect with tall sidewalls. But it looks cool!

245 60-15 is the perfect size on front of 70 b-body's. Had them on a 70 GTX and they fit like a glove...

The problem is a lot of the "popular" tires are discontinued in the P235 and P245 sizes this leaves you with a winnie looking P225 or a P255 that might rub on some applications

You can get BFG T/A's and Cooper Cobra's in that size still, no problem.

Yes I understand times have changed but good old T/A radials are still here. Just bought a set for my GS in 245 60-15 and 255 60-15.
