Dont sweat it. I told you dont call them, not worth the headache usually. Of course in the end they still end up with the cash...

I recently went through the same situation. Let me also say that it does not matter if you spend 20,000.00 or 20.00, they still treat you like dirt. I have no problems saying that I spent close to 20,000.00 with them only to have MEW repair and/or change out almost everything. I put that out there in the hopes people will think twice. Spend you money locally, or with members!

Just my

When are you guys gonna learn?
If it wasn't for Indy we wouldn't have alot of stuff. Period...
Just buy it from a dealer, and not direct. No one ever said they are very personable people to deal with.

And super stock racer, what will you have left if you take everything out of your cars that Indy has made?
Probably not much they aren't involved in.
Just askin'

Doesnt really matter IMO...if you are supporting someones business than they owe you that respect no matter where you are buying it from... my engine builder was an Indy dealer, but I still bought something else.

I wonder if we cut and paste all these threads talking about this, and sent them to Indy if they would get the picture?

I agree that is BS. I just had to deal with Total Seal as I over filed a top ring and then snapped a 2nd ring in two, [both fragile and expensive .043 rings], anyway I called Total Seal and told them what happened and what i needed and they sent them FREE OF CHARGE. Maybe INDY needs to treat customers more like Total Seal.

Ok, right or wrong in everyone's opinions here, but has anyone responding to this thread actually sat down and read the terms of sale on ICH's price sheets? It says in black and white that there is a $40 minimum order. It has for many years, as long as I've been using their products. Not being devil's advocate here, but evidently there are some people here that never noticed that. And I'm not agreeing with their policy either, I'm just saying what's been printed in their terms of sale for quite some time now.

I called them asking about a set of their rockers and basically they acted like I was trying to order shower curtains or something. I will never spend any money with them and I also let everybody I know not to purchase from them because of their horrible service.

BG sells Indy and stands behind the stuff but will bend over backwards to help any racer even those with other engine builders

Fred's correct, and if you would have PMed me I would have sent you a line free.Racers helping racers.

I really doubt they will give a rats rear what you or anyone else has to say to them about their business practice, people still buy their products even with their POOR customer service and that's all that really matters to them.

I would like to video that conversation!

As has been said, don't call Indy, call a dealer. You will get better service. IMO, Indy should not sell direct, they are hurting their sales by pissing off customers. Many companies don't sell retail direct, they use stocking dealers, etc. If a dealer gets your order for $20, they can add it to their larger order from Indy for stocking items (gaskets, rockers, etc).

Guys - the title of my thread says it - I'm not out to bash Indy - I just don't get the business practice as it is SO unfriendly towards customers.

Bob - For whatever reason - I completely forgot that you are an Indy dealer - all apologies - I will remember that in the future.

Indy, for whatever other faults they may have, offer us some great products that work very well. I am not naive in business so I understand that sometimes you get bad with good, but in this case - it just seems like a very easily remedied "bad".
