WELL started making one for the race truck, I made a cardboard one the other day and today I used the cardboard for patterns and welded it together out of a dodge dakota bed side(recycling metal) it even had the start of the curve that I needed for it
I still have to make a lip around the opening but at least its started. Ron...

Thanks guys, the sides will be more rounded when I am finished with it, this is just the first stage.
I am trying to make the opening the same shape as the grill opening and I want the top to side curve look similer to the top of the hood to the side of the hood

we'll see when its done if I can get what I am looking for Ron....

Is the top of the scoop going to be flat with the world when the truck is at ride height? Can't tell exactly how it sits in the pics.

Looks Great Ron!
I like seeing someone else getting into the itchy fiberglass work too!

Thanks for the encouragement guys, I have been working on the bed and fenders so not much done on the scoop.

I believe it is pretty level because of the rack of the truck but the rear tires are 31" tall and the ones I plan to run are going to be 29" tall. Ron.
