As some of you know, I've been sorting out the SS/DA Hemi Challenger. I found a World block which will be a 4.500 bore. I don't have a crank, rods, pistons, intake or cam. I'll be running stock cast heads with maybe some light port work. The car can't go faster than 11.5 because I don't want to put a roll bar in the car. It will weigh in about 3800 with me in it. Where do I go from here? Make it a 528? 572? Header size? Cam? etc.... I want to keep the dual quads with the shaker hood to keep it as close to the way it was as possible.

As far as I know, the last time it was raced was 1975. Apparently the rules were a bit different back then?

A friend of mine ran a SS/DA 70 cuda in the mid 70's with a bolt-in 3-point Lakewood rollbar. Try that today...

Chris: This is what I would do... Use a stock replacement block, (unless you have the WP block already and are committed to using it). Put a 4.15 stroke crank and a solid roller or just a plain solid cam. Little port work on the heads and run a Rat Roaster and a pair of Competition series Carters. Set of TTI 2-1/4" headers. Should EASILY run the number, and you will have the Nostalgia look covered. I am fully aware that there are much better combos out there, this would really look cool on a car like your Challenger MB
