Frequently asked questions for PINKS All Out July 10-11, 2009
What do I need on arrival? You need your racer registration ticket (the one with the barcode and your name on it) and your Photo ID. You need a working racecar that has been pre-registered or confirmed on arrival.
Does my ticket include all weekend? Yes, your racer ticket is good for all weekend.
Can I have - Golf Carts, 4x4, bikes? Racers may have one pit vehicle only. This must be brought in with your racecar on your racing trailer or tow vehicle. NO EXCEPTIONS, (please note licensed drivers only are permitted to operate the pit vehicle).
What if my camper is coming in later than my racecar? They need to arrive together or the motorhome/camper will be charged an additional $125 upon entry.
What if I want to park next to another racer? You will need to arrive together at the gate.
Can someone else bring my car in as I am not arriving until later? Yes, on initial arrival someone else may drop off your vehicle on your pit spot. They must have a ticket to be allowed on site (a two day pass is required). As the Driver will need to check in to race when you arrive.
What about my crew? Parking, sleeping, tickets etc…
We ask that crew members arrive with the racer when possible and if they are in separate cars you will need to make room on your pit spot for those vehicles. Crew member(s) that stay overnight must come with you or have their car parked in your pit area. Your crew members will all need tickets for each day they are attending. Again, if they come in on Thursday or Friday they must purchase a two-day pass. You will only be allowed ONE crew member on the starting line. Should you make it to the Final 16 you will be allowed upto four crew members. We know you are welcoming friends and family to support you in the pits and we appreciate that (as long as they all have weekend passes). The crew limit on the starting line is for filming and safety reasons.
Will there be overflow parking for crew members? It is undetermined at this time – in most cases no – so we recommend you travel together as all team cars need to stay in your pit area.
What is my pit spot like? (electric, size, etc.) Pit spots are usually 20ft by 60ft in size, and you need to plan accordingly that all your equipment and vehicles fit within your assigned pit spot. A generator is recommended for your electrical use.
Can I leave the track and get back in? We don’t advise it due to incoming traffic, however if you must, be advised you will need to keep your ticket with you and get your hand-stamped upon exiting, you will then need to check back in upon return. If you are staying off property only the racer will be allowed to drive into the pits upon re-entry. So please plan accordingly with your crew – so they are with you.
What about alcohol – can I bring my own if I keep it in the pit? Due to MLCC (Michigan Liquor Control Commission) alcohol not purchased on the premises is strictly prohibited – see article “R436.1033, Rule 33 of the Administrative Rules of the State of Michigan”. Alcohol will be confiscated on site.
Can I switch drivers at the last minute in case of problems? No, unfortunately PINKS has a standing rule of not switching drivers. If you are the registered “ticketed” driver you will need to run your car or withdraw.
Can I bring my pets? We don’t recommend that pets come to this event as it is going to be so busy. If pets are brought in they MUST stay in your pit area on a leash. Please pick up after your pet(s).
Can I switch cars at the last minute? Yes, ONLY before you enter the track for the event.
When does this show air on SPEED TV? PINKS at US 131 will air on September 24, 2009 at 8pm EST.
If you have any questions that haven’t been answered please see the event staff on site.
Many Blessings
