The new Hot rod magazine section on variable valve timing mentions that the Viper V10 uses direct fuel injection. This seems to be true, but I have not been able find much information on it. I am looking for technical information on this engine. I have not found much in web searches. Does anyone know of a source of information on this engine?

Viper is not DI. Although the injectors are mounted in the head.

Okay SFI, I thought the injector placement didn't look right for DI. Thanks for confirming it. I still would like to see a combustion chamber, piston and injector configuration for a two valve DI engine. If GM survives they will probably be the first to release a production version.
