My 400 block with a 4.300 stroke and 6.800 long CAT H beam steel rods, CNC ported Edelbrock heads and a Comp Cams solid roller shify at 7000 to 7300 depending on the track elevation

please elaborate.... the higher DA where would you shift.. Higher or Lower....

My motor pulls harder and quicker at the lower altitude tracks so it rpms quicker, probally just like every other N/A motor that is close to the best tune up

Mr.Cab Racing and winning with Mopars since 1964. (Old F--t, Huh)

This cast KB motor has been 10400 more than once. It will break valve springs at that RPM but the bottem end lives for any run. I shift it at 9800 and it is real easy to over rev to 10K+ in a split sec. BTW the bob weight on this one is 2250 3.750 stroke 451".500 low deck. Built for RPM, cam makes power from 8800-9800 RPM with 60# of boost. Have two complete motors sitting here.

[Edited by Moparts - Keep it clean] me... Thats got to be the nastiest big block Mopar RPM i've heard ov. Gawd i'd love to hear that go through the traps...

Sadly, one of my crew members committed suicide couple years ago. He was our computer tech guy and shot all of our video. I also gave him a bunch of CDs with hundreds of pictures that my sponsors had taken from all over the track at many different tracks. He was to make copies for all of my crew members and me. His father won't let go of any of his stuff, even his cars, bikes, atvs everything. I talked with his mother about a year ago and she said she would work on her husband to return the video and pictures but he hasn't yet. This guy is a packrat, he keeps everything and won't even mt out Chis room at home( he lived at home with his parents) He hung himself in his room over a girl. His mom told me his dad keeps the room intack and won't let go of anything. Chis had 8 years of pictures and hundreds of runs on video, all 5 sec runs. It was no big deal to me when we were racing that he had everything but now that I have taken a break I wish I had some of those pics and video.
