The mounting posts for my 69 Super Bee quarter panel extensions are worn. Some of the posts have enough threads to catch if I invert the nuts. Has anybody found a way to replace the mounting studs? I'm ready to try JB weld - I don't want to grind them off and use a sheet metal screw! And it looks like they don't make reproductions for 69 Super Bee or Coronet applications. Otherwise, these are perfect extensions. Any ideas?

Have you tried flattening the 'teeth' on the stamped nut to make the opening smaller/tighter? Or finding a similar nut with a smaller inside diameter?

The nuts are original, I would hate to potentially ruin them. I could try smaller nuts, but I would have to use washers, hopefully there is enough length left on the posts. Thanks for the ideas!
