The DA here can be over 8000', 6300 is the best I've ever seen. It's depressing till you hit the trck and realize everyone is in the same boat...I've learned not to compare my times with anayone outside of ALb.

Our track is closing after this year and nothing new planned, so he'll probably be racing in Colorado/Vegas & AZ. Maybe Roswell, NM.

Oh man say it ain't so. I grew up at that track and have many fond memories of racing there during my highschool years!! We used to race with Phil Jaramello, grew up watching Willard, Ben, Widow Maker, Iron Butterfly and not to mention a little chebby luv with a 440/727 that just used to hum down the track!! It will really be missed.
P.S. I heard they are going or trying to build a race complex up where I used to live in Meadowlake?

Sorry for the hijack.

Diego

It's closing...Too bad too, the new owners are dedicated to making it decent place to race. Big crowd last weekend too.

It's on leased land from the BLM, it's really changed out there in the past couple years...Manuf. plants, a Movie Studio...And a huge housing development planned...Mesa Del Sol.

There's interest to build a new strip, land is available west of Alb off I-40...Just no money right now.

Cheby Luv with a 440/727...That's different!

You a NM boy?

Beautiful car! The learning curve won't be hard in as nice a ride as that. I'm sure it'll be point it straight, and go straight.

Ok, I found you guys. Thanks for the kind words, Don. Thanks Mike Roth for building my dream car.

Steep learning curve. No kidding. I do not even know what I do not know. I will have a ball learning though. It will be on the track, but not as soon as I would like. Remember I am starting from scratch. I ordered the 16V battery charger the day I got back and it is not even here yet.

And then there is my day job.

I apologize in advance for my dumb questions.

Hi Bruce...

I'm the guy with the Red Dakota that was drooling over your car all day long at the MOPAR show. Sorry about dragging pics of your car over here, but I figured a car of that caliber would be known on Moparts, and I had to know more about it.

Next Mopar Challenge series is Friday, July 10th, come on out and watch...The local MOPAR guys are good on the tree...Last race I ran a back to back 13.29s on a 13.24 dial in and still got booted out in the second round.

Your Hemi is my screen saver right now....

Bruce,

Welcome to the forum.

What a beautiful car you own. Could you share some more photos with us?

Thanks,
Bill Lamb

I RECALL SEEING DON AT THE TRAILS CC EVENT BEFORE THE NEW PAINT. DON RAN THE WHEELS OFF THE CAR, WENT ROUNDS IN THE SAT. NIGHT GAMBLER RACE AND THE FINALS (I THINK) ON SUNDAY. I GAVE HIM MY "PINK STINK" PIT BIKE WITH BENT REAR WHEEL TO GET HIS MONEY. DON WAS SMILES FROM EAR TO EAR AFTER THAT WEEKEND. THE NEXT TIME I SAW THE CAR IT WAS FLAMED AND LOOK'EN BAD!!! I TELL MYSELF THAT MY PILE OF JUNK INFLUENCED THE FLAME PAINT JOB. IT DOES NOT HURT TO HAVE A SMALL FANATSY IN LIFE DOES IT??
