I cant wait to see that car, with a mr. 2 chassis, and barton power, it should be a formidable competitor. nice article by the way
we will be testing on tuesday at stanton if anyone wants to come, we will be trying to get the super cuda running better, its only .15 off of my car in 60 feet. that should be easy to find.

TRANS QUESTION FOR SS/AH GUYS.WHAT WOULD YOU GUESS WOULD BE THE E.T. GAINS FROM A 727 TO A PRO-FLITE?I RACE A HEADS UP CAR THAT RUNS IN THE ALL MOTOR EVENTS,IT IS A SMALL BLOCK N/A CAR.I HAVE RUN 3 DIFFERENT 727 TRANS WITH DIFFERENT 1ST GEAR RATIOS AND HAVE NOT SEEN MUCH GAIN IN E.T.SO I AM THINKING OF GOING WITH A PRO-FLITE 727.I THOUGHT YOU GUYS WOULD BE THE BEST IN THE INFO DEPARTMENT ON THIS.
THANKS

i think most of the big hemi guys run "pro-trans" the 727's with the 904 internals, i may be mistaken tho.

I will refer you to for that, he seems to have all the solutions. Seriously though, anyone who tells you they know how much faster that is will be guessing, just get the best stuff (a pro trans) and know that you have the best.

That other guy that posted on this is about right. noone ever really does a back to back,, all guys just run a pro trans right off. ive heard guys say its .06 or so,, the more power you make the less of a gain,, or less engine speed,, less of a gain. you may pick up .10,, you may pick up .05,, who knows. for a bracket car,, thats alot of money for that gain.. dave smith from pro trans is just about the best out there,, and they are matter of fact guys,,

pro trans 661-940-7400,, only call if youre serious,, they are busy guys

I WOULD HAVE GUESSED.10 IT'S NOT A BRACKET CAR IT IS A 10.5 TIRE NMCA PRO STOCK CAR WITH AROUND 900HP 9000 RPM SMALL BLOCK.SO ANY E.T. DIFFERENCE WOULD BE GREAT.APPRECIATE ALL THE INFO.

Warfish had some nice camo shirts at Mopars at the Strip, but they were either busy or not around when I was at that part of the pits.

Looks like you also runnered up in Top/SS and went 8.86 at B weight. Congrats to everyone. Travis did have his '65 Coronet "street" car at Columbus.

This weekend is the national event at Englishtown with SS class eliminations. Quite a few AH cars entered, should be interesting

man, I know this is going to sound stupid, and I may get chased outa here......I have been away from racing for 5-6 years, I remember having the SS/A (stick) and the SS/AA (auto), now I see a record on the NHRA site for SS/AH. Can you please explain this one....

Not a stupid question at all. A while back it was decided that all SS/AA and SS/A cars would be put in a new hemi class with the designation SS/AH. Thanks for asking!

What is the weight difference between the stick and the automatic cars in SS/AH. I know it's heads up, same cubes, same weight break, but they don't weight the same, do they?
