Looking at these pullers on the web, and compairing them to other pullers I've made, it looks like this would be something fairly easy to make from some long threaded rod and specific sized strong washers (or some kind of adjustable collet). Seems it would be cheaper to make one if you don't do that many cam bearing swaps. Has anyone here made their own?

heh

I attempted to make one using some all thread and washers. I ended up bending the washers

I broke down and bought the proper tool. First time using it, with the block still in the truck, and my cam even spun over easily
