Looks like tonight I'll start re-wiring my charging system to bypass my Ammeter. But - I really don't like the idea of the gauge sitting dead in my dash cluster.

Does anyone make a Volt gauge that looks kinda factory stock that would fit in the same spot as my Ammeter?

Thanks!

Redline gauges "made" my stock gauge into a voltmeter when they restored my gauges.. Completely stock looking, just works kinda funny.. I think it was $100....

Hmmmm - I wonder if I could take the guts out of a cheap Volt Gauge from autozone or something and insert it into my housing. Thanks for the idea!

Yes. Come to think of it I have a cheap aftermarket volt gauge laying in a pile stuff in the garage. I'll bust it open tonight and see if I can do a "transplant".

Don't get me wrong, mine works fine too, just works "kinda funny" for an amp meter....

I installed a 1978 Dodge truck voltmeter in place of my ampmeter in my 1978 Ramcharger. Now I just have to get the lens relettered from "ALT" to "VOLTS".

Ask me my opinion of Frank Mitchell....... A Mopar crook!
