I tried one on my drag car and the car didn't like it; hundred or so runs later, still no shaft/joint issues using no snubber. It's possible to make a snubber that mounts to the car and points down at the pinion area, if you think you need one.
forgot to mention car is a 4 speed, street driven with the ocasionnal pounding

You will get a lot of spring wrap if it is anything like mine. I took mine off and the rear springs are dying. I'm in the process of getting cal tracs

Here's a novel idea, let's not throw a bunch of parts at the car hoping it will fix the problem and instead spend a little time diagnosing it first.
Life was a little easier when I was just a wrench.
