I'm just curious because my local track has the pro and super pro running 1/8th and bikes and sportsman running 1/4. I'm geared for the 1/4 so I might be leaving a little et on the table, but am I the only one?

How many folks are geared for the 1/4 mile, but run 1/8th mile?

4:10 - 29.5 tire.

I run both tracks . The 1/8 mile is only 1 hour from my place . The 1/4 is a little over 2 .

Flyfish, did you race your car again this weekend? Curious about your setup, as mine is very similar. Same car too.

It won't make a big difference in bracket racing, just change the dial-in to what it will run.

For the 1/4 mile, if the motor is setup for it, just run 400-500 or so rpm above shift point, and the 1/8th will be fine. Then you won't have to complain, "I can't run the full 1/4 mile I am geared for the short track..."

I ran in the pro class this weekend. This was my first time running 1/8 mile. The car ran consistent 7.17's and I made it to the money rounds...PAY DAY!!! I lost in the quarter finals but the car was AWESOME. Excluding the first time trail when the car wasn't warmed up, the car only varied 3 thousandths of a second (7.176-7.173).
