Are you racing 1/8 mile and geared for the 1/4? - 06/08/09 04:10 PM
I'm just curious because my local track has the pro and super pro running 1/8th and bikes and sportsman running 1/4. I'm geared for the 1/4 so I might be leaving a little et on the table, but am I the only one?

4:10 - 29.5 tire.
I run both tracks . The 1/8 mile is only 1 hour from my place . The 1/4 is a little over 2 .

Flyfish, did you race your car again this weekend? Curious about your setup, as mine is very similar. Same car too.

It won't make a big difference in bracket racing, just change the dial-in to what it will run.
For the 1/4 mile, if the motor is setup for it, just run 400-500 or so rpm above shift point, and the 1/8th will be fine. Then you won't have to complain, "I can't run the full 1/4 mile I am geared for the short track..."

Sounds like your starting to dial it in. Awesome.
