Dave and his 73 swinger were in the 10 sec field at pinks armdrop at tmp saturday. I know he was in the final and his win light came on but I cannot be positive he got the win. They did not anounce it and I know some people were disqualified for going too fast.
The new armdrop format is interesting. They picked 32 car fields for 10's and 11's and it looked like 16 car fields for 9's and 12's. There was a quick 8 class as well. They made the fields run non stop till they were done. You drive up the return road and go right back into the burnout box.
I only stayed long enough to watch the 10 sec field run. It looked like it was a mid 10 field.
They were picking the closest groups within 2-3 tenths.

Thanks Glenn and Barry. Yes it was me and let me tell you, it was the most fun I've ever had (with my clothes on)!! It was very hard on the cars though...my trans temp was up over 280. I probably shouldn't have used the tranny brake, it might of been easier on the trans if i foot-braked the whole race. I think I was very favourably positioned in the 32 car pack AND lucked out with a first round bye...I know I was very lucky, but like they say....sometimes its better to be lucky than good! The $3000 will come in handy. I didn't realize til after that I also won a guaranteed entrance into the Pinks All Out race of my choice. Sweet
Thanks
DaveS
