I've searched high and low for a set of forged .040 over pistons to rebuild my 383 and I can only find four Speed Pros at Summit. Campbell Enterprises says they are out as does Mancini and most other places I've checked. What I want is the Speed Pro L2315F40 but that number is going to be replaced with an L2315NF which they haven't started production on. If I could find just one set I'd be in business but I don't know where else to look. Any ideas?

I don't want any cast pistons, just forged. And I don't really want to pay Diamond the extra $300 to build me a set if possible.

No, not zero deck. And I don't know how much they weigh but here are some specs: http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?part=TRW%2DL2315F40&autoview=sku

the CH puts the piston .015 in the hole on blueprint deck , the piston and pin weigh 1000 grams , at least my 3 yr old .030 weigh that .

If you are decking the block at all I would pony up for the diamonds , get them in the CH you want since you are at semi custom anyway and they will do 2 minor tweaks for the same upcharge , plus is it's much lighter, better selection of rings and comes machined for spirolocks incase you want to buy eagle rods which are floating pin.

I'm in your boat , I need a .040 over now and Diamond is my only choice .

Thanks. What does "CH" stand for?
