Any great ideas on how to easily/quickly get the seal out?? Looking to see if anyone has a better approach to this than me. (I end up mangling mine and eventually get it out, but what a pain.)

Just did one and I decided to drop the trans out so I could do the seal, outer gasket and "0" ring also. I decided it was easier to do it with the trans out of the car verses fighting it with the trans just slid back in the tunnel.

Guess I never answered your question - I took a small chissel and went around the seal, pushing it in until it just fell out - mangling it also, but no damage to seal area.

John, thanks for your previous tip on my "727 no upshift" question. I had the throttle pressure rod misadjusted.

NO TRICK getting the seal out ... what is the prob mangling it?

Getting it IN is the trick ...and it should be nice and square.

That Miller tool is the best-bet there.
