I have a question....

I have a 4-speed in my car and i have access to a micro switch, I had a thought that involves that micro switch..... Has anyone here used a micro switch on the clutch peddle to disengage the line lock went your is staged? If so, How did you install it and was there any problems or is this even feasible?

Thanks

you gotta remember that the line lock blocks fluid in both directions..
so if you apply the clutch at speed and have to apply the brakes you will not have front brakes if the clutch pedal activates the line lock at speed..
maybe through adjustment and a brake light switch applied to the clutch and another inline switch the completes the circuit when in first gear or something...that might work..?
or a button that is on the steering wheel that completes the circuit...the clutch pedal still activates the selinoid but the button has to be pressed to complete the circuit..
after launch just release the button then when you apply the clutch it wont re-activate..
cheapst.

No it doesn't. Its a one way check valve. If its on and you hit the brakes they will apply but wont release.

Mine is a Hurst and it blocks fluid release only. I pump the pedal before the burn out with the line lock on so it locks the front brakes really tight.

The line lock idea on the clutch set up sound like a good idea at first but safety wise it will kill you. Push in the clutch and hit the brakes on the top end , instant lock up and way you go. Put it on the shift handle not on the steering wheel, you need one hand on the shifter and one to remain on the steering wheel.

it's ok to butt heads, just don't do it with a butthead

putting it on the clutch will work..as long as you use 2 activation devices..
like i said..the circuit will connect when both buttons are pressed..
you hold a finger button and the when the clutch is let out..the line lock releases..
once the car starts moveing you no longer need to hold the 2nd button with your finger.
once this happens ...you can press the clutch all you want and no activation...
no issues..

With the switch on the clutch engaged you hit the momentery line lock button to arm the relay and it will hold the linelock and the rev limitor all you have to do is put a 6800 chip in the low side hold it on the floor and side step that clutch at 6800, and your off to the races

A little micro switch on the clutch pedel arm that you can hit with your toe will work
