Finally have time to go to the track saturday and try the trans brake. 67 cuda 440,727 auto, calvert bars with there springs. Car used to leave at 3000 rpm, now that the brake is in it stalls at 4600, what would you guys leave the line at, 4600 or try softer and work my way up? Thanks Tim

Try less RPM and work up. be prepared it feels and sounds like you got hit by a truck from behind

Work your way up..... I hope you have a delay box,
that way you wont expect it when it happens
You may find(as I did) that coming up higher in the
revs planted the tire much better

Tim I am with Mr. P Body, start out with like a 3,000 chip and then just a few hundred at a time till you get to 4,000.

Most of the time if you leave a little RPM to flash it will yeild better 60's times, but all cars are different.

Yea you need a delay box, so when you let the button go, you just sit there and then bam you're gone.

You'll end up leaving at whatever rpm gets you a light you're looking for,i.e .020 or whatever.Rpm is your main adjustment for reaction time when racing without a box and difference in reaction time from say 2,500 to 4,000 is pretty big.Good luck.

Great info guys, 200 rpm at a time, I,ll have to do time only,s after I screw up,lol. the lites yes that,s what,s it,s all about isn,t it, as I really don,t know what to expect, my button can have 3 100,s taken out of it or added. I used to leave right on the middle of the third yellow which was very hard to do with led lites.I,m thinking it should react quicker on the brake and leave at say the end of the third yello. but as some say every car reacts different, yikes gonna take me 12 runs to attain max stall , sounds like fun, Tim

Well made to track and it didn,t go well, first time up go up on stall leave on the lite , car don,t go, huh, let off gas and it goes, what the heck, get to return road stop push down on button up on gas let go button all works well. Okay screwed up somewhere, try again same thing what the , now getting frustrated, try again, up on the stall, tree goes down, car still sitting what the again, dam, uh oh, forgetting to let go of the dam button, lmao.Try again forget the lites just try to leave with the break and all went well. So after being an idiot, I,m moving the button from behind the shifter to the wheel. It just doesn,t work for me there as just to dam busy, lol.
