I'm looking to upgrade/replace the incorrect radiator in my 69 Road Runner (383/727/non AC) since it recently started running a little hotter then normal. It seems like all places selling aluminum replacement radiators only sell 26" models. The radiator support in the car has a 22" opening, so I dont imagine i can just drop a new radiator with a 26" core in, and I really dont want to swap out the radiator support (I assume the optional OEM 26" radiators required a different support) to get better cooling. Any ideas or recommendations would be great. Thanks, Bob

You CAN bolt a 26" rad in a 22" support, but you'll have to drill some holes and a portion of the rad will be blocked off. You can also replace the portions of the support the rad bolts to using aftermarket pces.
Personally, I would get a used 22" and recore with a good quality core or source a 22" repop (sorry, don't know who carries them)

I would re-do it if it was an original or correct unit, but I dont see the point in recoring an incorrect radiator.
