Time to get on this hemi and figure out where we are so we can figure out where we need to go with all the parts.

I borrowed a barret (sp) from a buddy and jumped into this having never done it before it was interesting to say the least.

If I did something wrong pleae let me know.

Here are a few pictures.

Here are some pictures.

If you angle the head (any head, not just the hemi heads)so one side is higher than the other and place the plate so the hole is on the high side next to the edge of the combustion chamber it makes a lot easier to fill the combustion chamber, Liquid flows down hill in other words Expereince is a great teacher I bought a needle tip for a hand held grease gun and use that to place a very thin line of grease around the chambers to seal the fill plate to BTW, what type of liquid are you using for the measuring? How many CC difference did you find between the four combustion chambers? Or did you check all four, if not you should

Sorry I missed your post.

I didn't know what to use, so I used water to check with, I have since been told some use alcohol and some use cleaning solvent?

I didn't check all the combustion chambers, but I will.

When I start cleaning up the runners I will cc everything again as I go.

Like I said I am new at this and any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks,

Jeff

Check them all before trying to even them up I have never really treid to even the port runners up so I can't say if it is worth doing or not, maybe worth doing on a all out go for broke race motor I use rubbing alcholol with BLUE food coloring in the burret Any color will work

Also add a little red food coloring to your water, makes it much easier to read...Phill
