Your right and considering all the money and effort most of us spend it's a sad thing it comes to this. Someone needs to come up with a service-website that goes around all the money grubbers and helps collectors get their life in order so it doesn't come down to this. Maybe some kind of registry?

Sorry about your health. In the end though you have decided to hold onto what you have and the vultures you speak of are just the end of the line from the guy who held onto things knowing the end result to the family who let it all go to the guy with cash in his hand. Your still alive, not too late to sell and use the money as you see fit for possibly better things. Myself and a few friends have all been sorting and junking and letting go of things we have not used in 30 years or more just for this reason of not seeing things go for nothing AND to save others the grief of having to decide what to do with it all. It a win-win situation for all in doing this. I'm a bit of a hoarder and my health isn't too good so in a few years you vultures will be picking over my stash. Your going to love the Hemis. I was going to give my son a car or engine but when I can't even get him to help put my Hemi car back together why should I reward him.
The '51 Plymouth listed above ends today(Sunday). It would be a great 50s hot rod.. MOONEYES, homemade intake manifold and headers and maybe a custom grind cam?

Winchesters...I have a Model 42 and a few Model 12s...Good choice! Always wanted to get a Model 42. Have WAY too many model 94's though including a brand new Model 9410

Hopefully this eye candy doesn't get tossed.. The '73 I had no choice but to replace the wood whereas the '94 only needed cleaned and it's been rated mint by a well known Winchester expert and author.

I've got a beautiful Triplett and Scott that appears to have never been fired. I got it with a broken trigger spring and chipped stock. Replaced both and it looks pretty much as it did in 1864. Perfect rifling.
