I’ve got a stack of 216 and a few 215 fans I’ve collected over the years. Some have the ink stamped number and some have the number stamped with steel stamps on each blade. My AAR and my 327 built 70 Charger have the steel stamped blades ( on each blade). The ones I have found at wrecking yards on earlier built 69 down cars have the single ink stamp number. Looking at Dave Wise’s book on 68-70 b body car, he never mentions the steel stamped blades. So, is this pattern correct, Ink stamps for early cars and steel stamped starting in mid 1970 cars?

I wondered about that as well. I wonder why that is not mentioned in Dave’s books?

I have seen them both ways. I just figured different vendors of each?

The vendor numbers are likely stamped on the fan as well. Usually a 5 digit number (looks like one in photo above under pentastar) . This may help tell the story.

Does Tony still make the reproduction 216 fan? I can’t find them or the price?

The reproduction 216 fan is out of stock everywhere. I did read once that OER or someone was going to make another run..........
