Buddy Martin gets his 66 Vip Fury back over 50+ years and a long overhaul. A birthday surprise!
For those that don't know the story, it's crazy. During an open house last year a gentleman came up and said he had Buddy's 1966 Fury VIP that he had sold to him. Now, we're used to people saying they have old S&M cars and they never do. This man was a young 80+ year old man and the story actually made sense. We contacted Buddy and sure enough, Buddy had sold him the car 50+ years ago. We scheduled a time for them to meet at the museum and next thing we know, Buddy had purchased the 66 Vip!
Dad has always been grateful for Buddy Martin. Dad saw an opportunity for to pay Buddy back, so the 66 VIP came to our house. Over a period of 6 months, the car was totally rebuilt from front to back. It still sports the original paint and interior! The car has been rewired, all rubber replaced, everything unbolted and powder coated, engine rebuilt, transmission gone through, brakes rebuilt, rear end gone through, etc, etc, etc.
What you're seeing is the deliver date, which Buddy had no clue about it. It was his birthday so Dad and Shannon, along with my brother, drove down to surprise him. A lot of the video is missing audio, because frankly, some conversations need to stay private. While I enjoy posting content, we don't do things FOR content creation. These two shared some moments that will be kept between them, two life long friends.
