I have had both, plus an Indy alum, and hands down the Callies is the best out of the box. My 2 cents. I have two Callies at the moment, and one had lifter bores not finish reamed, on one side if I remember. Other than that, both were great.

I think either one would work so it's whichever one you like the best. I built a Callies last year and I'm building a Keith Black now. I would say the aluminum blocks are easier. Just because the fit/finish seems a little better and you don't have to paint the aluminum ones. Either one will take a good looking over and fixing any problems. This isn't 1970. You can't just buy the parts from Mopar and slap it together. Each part is aftermarket and has to be hand fitted. It's kinda like you're building a Rolls-Royce. There will be some rough days, but you will be proud of it when you get done.
